Cryovac® Odor Scavenging Systems

The most effective method for reducing package confinement odor

We use state-of-the-art packaging materials to scavenge confinement odors that can be generated by ingredients during the life of a product. A variety of sulfur compounds can be generated at reduced oxygen conditions in a number of fresh and process foods. These confinement odors are associated with a reduction in freshness and quality. Cryovac® Odor Scavenging Films scavenge these odors removing them from the package and maintaining the desired aroma profile. These "active chemistries" are part of the package and keep the product fresher, longer.

Applications

Applications include smoked and processed meats, cheeses, and baked goods. Because it does not require moisture as an activator, other applications include dry food products such as coffee, nuts, drink and baking mixes, and other snack foods.
