New Cryovac® BLX-F1 Automatic Taped Bag Loader Provides Labor Savings, Improved Efficiencies and Versatility

DUNCAN, S.C. (Oct. 28, 2009) – Sealed Air’s Cryovac® Food Packaging announces a new addition to its line of fully automatic systems, the BLX-F1 taped bag loader. The new highspeed bag loader offers quick change-over time and provides processors with the versatility they need to package a variety of small- to medium-sized products and weights.

The BLX-F1 loader has been given 3-A approval (Standard Number 27-05) for dairy equipment and automatically loads all cheese types in Cryovac® taped bags. Additionally, the system can be used to package smoked and processed applications, and readyto- eat products.

The speed of the BLX-F1 automatic bag loader depends on the length of the product, varying from 35-45 cycles per minute. The PLC-controlled system can save up to 99 different product settings on a touch panel control operator interface and is equipped with sensors and controls to ensure the product is correctly staged for gentle and efficient loading. Multiple infeed configurations are available to better utilize plant floor space.

The BLX-F1 autoloader handles bag widths of 5 inches to 15 inches and bag lengths up to 20 inches. The maximum product weight for the system is five pounds.
